Dear Auburn Bay School Families,

It is hard to believe that we are once again at the end of another school year! We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation and gratitude to our staff, students, and families for another wonderful year at Auburn Bay School.

We are extremely proud of our students for the hard work, kindness, respect, and sense of belonging they demonstrated throughout the year. They made meaningful connections with one another, formed new friendships, engaged in creative learning opportunities, and brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy to our school each day.

Thank you to our staff for their dedication, care, and commitment to always going above and beyond for our students. They created safe, supportive, and engaging learning environments where all students could thrive.

To our families, thank you for your support and partnership this year. Your involvement in your child’s learning makes a meaningful difference, and we know it takes a team working together to support student success.

Thank you to our volunteers and School Council for supporting our school in countless ways throughout the year. Your time, energy, and dedication have helped create enriching opportunities and experiences for our students and school community.

We truly have the best staff, students, and families at Auburn Bay School!

This is also the time of year when we recognize staff members who will be moving on to new adventures. We would like to wish Miss Summerton (teacher), and Ms. Nisha (lunch supervisor) the very best of luck and thank them for all they have contributed to Auburn Bay School over the years. Each of them has made meaningful contributions to our school community and will be greatly missed.

Thank you to Ms. Amoruso, Mrs. Mead and Mrs. Keats for doing a wonderful job covering temporary positions at our school. You stepped into various roles and will always be part of the Auburn Bay family!

We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Desai to our school. However, she will be on maternity leave next year, and a temporary teacher will be covering her position until her return. Ms. Maria will also be joining our lunch supervisor team next year. 

Over the summer, you may notice some construction taking place near the staff parking lot. We are excited that our new Outdoor Learning Space is being built and will be ready for classes to enjoy beginning in the fall. Thank you to our School Fundraising Society for making this exciting project possible through their generous support.

As we head into summer, please note that the school office will close on June 30 at noon and will reopen on August 26 at 9:00 a.m.

A Welcome Back email will be sent near the end of August, and families will learn their child’s teacher for next year when classroom teachers reach out by email on August 26 or 27.

On behalf of everyone at Auburn Bay School, we wish you a safe, fun, and relaxing summer filled with family, friends, and wonderful memories. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on August 31, ready for another fabulous year of learning, growth, and belonging!
