Well, we have arrived at June! It is hard to believe that the month of year-end celebrations is already upon us. It will be a busy and exciting month filled with learning, fun, and celebrations.

Sports Day
Mrs. Leibel has organized a fun hour of activities for our annual Sports Day on June 5! We are excited to have JCS students and staff joining us to run the stations for our students.
Please have your child prepared for this day to be outside (sunscreen, hat, water bottle, comfy clothes and running shoes). If the weather is uncooperative, we will have an alternate plan that will be shared with families, if needed.
School Council will be providing freezies for all students to enjoy at the end of the activities. If you would prefer that your child does not have a freezie, please email your child’s teacher.

Grade 5 Farewell
An email was sent to Grade 5 families about the upcoming Grade 5 Farewell on June 19. Doors will open at 10:00 AM for Grade 5 families and the celebration will start at 10:15 AM.
Our School Council has organized Food Trucks for the event, which will be open to all families and community members to enjoy. Thank you to our generous School Council who will be providing a ticket for Grade 5 students to get a free food truck treat.

Kindergarten Celebration
An email was sent to all Kindergarten families about the upcoming Kindergarten Celebration on June 17. Doors for the AM class celebration will open at 9:15 AM and the celebration will start at 9:30 AM.
Doors for the PM class celebration will open at 12:45 PM and the celebration will start at 1:00 PM.
School Council has arranged for each kindergarten student to receive a small treat at the end of each celebration.

Talent Sharing in Music!
Between June 8 and June 18 students will have the opportunity to share a talent with their classroom peers during music lesson mini talent shows!
This is optional and open for all students.

Fees
Please log into your MyCBE account, click on Fees, Waivers & Service Registration (green button) then your child’s name to see if you have any outstanding fees. You can choose to pay all or some by adding the fee to “Cart”. You may also come into the office and pay with Debit or Credit Card.
If you need help accessing your MyCBE account, please call the office (403)817-3540 and we can help you with re-setting your password.
You can also apply for a waiver, if needed. At the end of the school year any unpaid fees come out of the school budget.
School Council
Our last School Council meeting with be on June 11 at 6:00 PM at the school.
We would like to thank our dedicated members for supporting Auburn Bay School, students, staff and families this year. They go above and beyond to organize and provide support and funding for exciting learning opportunities, resources, treats for students, technology, sound systems, lights, music programing, decorating for school events and much more. Thank you for your time, generosity and support!

There are also a few members that will be leaving our School Council, as their children are moving on to middle school. We would like to thank you for your time, commitment, generosity and support of the years. We were so lucky to have you!
Bikes and Scooters
A big shout out to our wonderful students who are walking their bikes while crossing at the crosswalks, as well as walking them to the bike racks. We are proud of them for following the bike/scooter expectations to keep themselves and others safe.
