Welcome to December!

It was wonderful to see all the families join us for conferences last week. Thank you for taking the time to engage in conversations about your child’s learning. It takes a team working together to support all our students.

With the unprecedented fall, students and staff have worked extremely hard to put together concerts in two weeks. They are proud and excited to offer an opportunity to gather to enjoy some winter cheer before the holidays. We look forward to seeing everyone this week!

Healthy Hunger

If your child will not be in attendance on the fun snack/lunch day and you wish to pick up the order, please email the school auburnbay@cbe.ab.ca by 10:30 am. It will be kept in the office until this time. If we do not hear about a pick-up, the item will be disposed of or given away.

Central Fees

CBE has added your central fees to your MyCBE Account. These fees include lunch supervision, bussing and school supplies. CBE has adjusted fees accordingly to reflect the time students were not in school due to the labour disruption.

Please log in to pay these fees.  If needed, you can apply for a waiver on your MyCBE account.

Safe Crossing

We are proud of our wonderful Grade 5 patrols that have been training and working hard to support safe crossing for our students and families before and after school. They are doing a wonderful job!

Thank you to our families who are supporting their work and using the crosswalks.

Please DO NOT jaywalk in front of the school. Last week there were a few close calls of potential pedestrians getting hurt. We work hard to provide safe crossing opportunities, so please remember to use these. We want to ensure all our students and adults are safe.

We would like to thank everyone for abiding by the no parking in the bus lanes. We have a number of buses that come to Auburn Bay School now and they must use these lanes. With the change in weather, buses may arrive later than 8:00 am and they need the space. We also have frequent field trips happening and the buses need to park in the bus lanes in the mornings and after school. Do not drop-off or park in the bus lanes at any time during the school day. Please use the Drop and Go area that are identified by the signs.

School Council

There will be a School Council meeting January 8, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the school. Thank you to our wonderful and generous Council for their continued support for staff, students and families!
