We can hardly believe that March is already here! With it, we’re hopeful that spring is just around the corner. As we move into this busy and exciting time of year, we’re looking forward to upcoming conferences and the opportunity to connect with our families. It’s always a pleasure to share the wonderful learning experiences our students are engaged in each day. Please see below for important conference details.

New Student Registration
If you have registered a NEW student for next year, please make sure to log into your MyCBE Account under School Engage to see the status of your registration. The school may have sent you a request for more information/documentation. The school is not able to complete registrations until they are complete.
Conferences
Booking for conferences on your MyCBE Account will open Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 8:00 am. Conference times can be booked for a 10-minute time in-person meeting time with your child’s teacher. Please see the chart below for the conference days/times. See our Parent-Teacher Conference informati for instructions.

Calgary Opera Performance
We would like to extend our gratitude to our generous School Council for funding a special school-wide performance on March 5! The Calgary Opera will be coming to the school to perform “Little Red Riding Hood” for all students. We are looking forward to bringing all our students together for this exciting opportunity. Afternoon kindergarten students, please watch for an email from your teacher.
Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you do not want them participating in this event.
Volunteers
If you would like to sign up to be a volunteer for school opportunities such as field trips and in-school presentations, please follow the process below:
1. Log into your MyCBE and fill out the annual form (even if you have already been cleared in previous years).
2. By completing the form, it will notify the office and you will then receive a letter to submit to the Calgary Police Servies (CPS). You will need to wait for an email from CPS to do so. It may take a few weeks for you to receive this email from CPS.
3. Once cleared by CPS, please upload the clearance letter back to your MyCBE account.
- **If you feel it has been a long time, make sure to log back into your MyCBE account to see if there is a note there. The school may not be able to complete the volunteer process if waiting for a response from you.
- **If CPS has not emailed you after a few weeks (and there is no message from the school), please email the school at auburnbay@cbe.ab.ca so we can investigate it further.
Fees
Please log into your MyCBE account regularly, as fees are added throughout the year, as needed (field trips, recorders, etc.). You will not see these fees on the main page, so you need to click on “Fees, Waivers, & Service Registration” icon.
Families can apply for a waiver to support coverage of fees. This form must be completed through your MyCBE account.
If needed, you may pay fees with debit or credit cards in the office.
Note From CBE About 2024/2025 Student Fees
As a reminder, if you have not yet paid for your 2024/2025 Lunch/Transportation fees, the CBE sends these to collections starting in February/March. This DOES NOT apply for this year’s fees. If needed, please contact studentfees@cbe.ab.ca to come up with a payment plan or apply for a waiver.
Child Tax Receipts
Child Care Tax Receipts are now available for Lunch supervision for 2025. Paper copies are no longer provided.
To Print your receipt:
- *Log into yourMyCBE and select Fees, Waivers & Services Registration
- *On the right side of the screen, select “Menu” (three lines)
- *Click on Tax Receipts
- *Select your child's name and click Receipts >PRINT
Parking
A reminder that there is no parking or stopping in the bus lanes in front of the school. We have school busses dropping off and picking up in the mornings and after school (including for field trips).
It is important to remember that there is no parking in front of fire hydrants or close to the cross walks on the side of the school. The city bylaws include: When parking your car, do not park within five metres of a fire hydrant or marked crosswalk.
