Auburn Bay School
We were hoping that Spring was here, but the weather had other plans! April was another month of wonderful learning and fun activities at Auburn Bay. Students enjoyed learning about and playing lacrosse games in gym. Thank you to our School Council for covering the costs for this activity. Music Monday - Change of Date
With the weather forecast not looking great for being outside for Music Monday on May 6, we are moving the performance to Friday, May 10 at 11:00 - 12:00. Adults can plan to meet on the hill at 10:50 am. Students have been working hard with Ms. Knuppel to prepare for this exciting event.

We do not accept orders at the school. Please order online at Healthyhunger.ca.
Kindergarten students, please only order on fun snack days.
Cut off for ordering is 5 days before the fun lunch/snack. If your child is away on the day of, please email auburnbay@cbe.ab.ca by 10:30 am to make arrangements for pickup. Please ensure that you do pick up before 1:00pm. If we do not hear from you by 10:30 am, it will be disposed of or given away. You can cancel future orders as long as it is before the 5 - business day cut off.
Fees
Log in to MyCBE to check if you may have an outstanding fee, as they are added regularly. Once you log in, click on the icon on the left-hand side that says “Fees, Waivers & Service Registration.” This will show if you have any fees outstanding. You can come into the office to pay with Credit/Debit, if needed.
Mental Health Week
Every year since 1951, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has hosted Mental Health Week. This year, May 6 - 12 marks the 73rd year. This year, the theme is centered on the “healing power of compassion”. The Calgary Board of Education and Auburn Bay School recognizes the importance of advancing mental health and well-being. On May 8, we encourage students and staff to wear a hat to support “Hats On! For Mental Health Day” and raise awareness. We continue to make Auburn Bay a great place to be by supporting each other.
