We came together as a school to participate in our Terry Fox Run/Walk yesterday. What a wonderful sight to see students showing courage, determination and kindness.

Important Whole School Notice & Events

Healthy Hunger

Once a month, Auburn Bay School offers a fun lunch or fun snack. The first one will be on Oct. 19 (Subway). We use Healthy Hunger and we do not accept orders at the school. You must order online at Healthyhunger.ca. Kinder’s please only order on fun snack days.

Cut off for ordering is 5 days before the fun lunch/snack. If your child is away on the day of, please email auburnbay@cbe.ab.ca by 10:30am to make arrangements for pickup. Please ensure that you do pick up before 1:00pm. If we do not hear from you by 10:30am, it will be disposed of or given away. You can cancel future orders as long as it is before the 5 business day cut off.

Demographic Verification Forms Should Now be Completed

Thank you to all that completed your forms. If you have not yet done so, please log in ASAP as Alberta Education requires these forms to be viewed/completed by September 30, 2023.

School Supplies

Fee will be added to your MyCBE account on Oct. 16, 2023.

Lunch Supervision

Please log into your MyCBE account online and register for lunch supervision. The fee will be added Oct. 16, 2023. You can pay monthly if you would like.

Hoodie Fee

If you ordered a Hoodie and received it, the fee will be added by the end of next week on your MyCBE account. Some orders are on backorder as we ran out of certain sizes. If this affected your order, you would have been contacted. They should arrive by mid/late October.

Attendance

If you know that your child will be away or late, it is important to let the office and the teacher know. Please email your teacher and the school at auburnbay@cbe.ab.ca

After School

We have had a few concerns shared about behaviours after school outside on the playground and play areas. Just a reminder that there is no school supervision at this time and supervision of parents/guardians is encouraged to help minimize any problems.

Instagram

Teachers share student learning weekly on their classroom Instagram accounts. If you have not already done so, please join your child’s classroom Instagram account. If you do not know the account name, it was on the welcome back email or reach out to your child’s teacher to find out what it is. This is a great opportunity to see what your child is learning in class!
